It’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it! NEXO has been in the Caribbean again, this time in Martinique where new GEO D partner, SCS (Sonorisation Caraibes Service) to get to grips with the biggest NEXO system in the French West Indies.
SCS Technical Manager Dominic Douge is a long-time NEXO user, a sound engineer who has worked with Melpomen in France, and has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, Canada and Colombia. SCS began with a small Alpha E system, and then a PS15 rig with CAMCO amplifiers.
“We have had excellent support from NEXO, from sales manager Jean Jacques Vias and from Celso,” says Douge. “We appreciate their commercial and strategic ideas for making the most of opportunities in the Caribbean, and we really like the sound and designs of the NEXO product range.”
With a GEO D system in place, powered by NXAMPS, SCS is now targetting jazz and world music festivals in St Lucia and Dominica as well as in Martinique, where the company has serviced well-known international artists such as Lionel Richie, Steel Pulse, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Third World and James Brown.
