Radek Rudnicki is a new media artist and sound designer, with a focus on spatial sound in multidisciplinary projects. Radek runs a metaverse studio, where he has applied his expertise in spatial sound to create immersive experiences that transport audiences to virtual worlds. He composes music for audiovisual media and game sound design, collaborating with studios, visual and media artists to create new media works and audio-visual installations. In addition to his new media art projects he also designs sound for a number of synth makers. He has created some of the most popular sound packs for Elektron machines, check out his sound pack Bionic Walk for the Digitione.
Radek’s work extends to being an entrepreneur, consultant and educator internationally facilitating workshops for varied audiences in the USA, Europe and Japan. He designed and delivered new courses at universities in the UK and New Zealand. He collaborated with NASA’s GISS, SpaceBase, New Zealand and Stockholm Environment Institute on projects linking art and science.
In his interview with Elektron, Radek talks about his love for FM digital synths and his approach to creating the Bionic Walk sound pack for the Digitione, through to how he uses Elektron boxes with his modular synth.
