Sound Devices recently previewed new additions to their Astral family of wireless products at NAMM 2024, including the A20-SuperNexus Receiver, A20-Opto Expansion Box and A20-Outpost-NL Box. There’ll be more info from Sound Device very soon, but for now we have some preliminary info and specs.
A20-SuperNexus Receiver
- 16 channels all with HexVersity® (2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-antenna diversity) in one 19” rack unit
- Expandable to 32 channels in same unit (all with HexVersity) via Software Licenses
- 169 – 1525 MHz Tuning Range for full worldwide operation
- RF Mirror Mode for full redundant operation
A20-Opto Expansion Box
- Adds native Optocore audio I/O for interconnection with DiGiCo consoles
- Adds fully redundant AC Mains supply
- Adds plethora of additional inputs and outputs to A20-SuperNexus receivers
A20-Outpost-NL Box
- Box for remote-mounting NexLink® antennas via Ethernet
- Powered by PoE or USB-C input
- Cat-6 or Optical Ethernet (via SFP module)
