Taking cues from Austrian Audio’s professional monitoring headphones for mixing and mastering, the Hi-X20’s construction and high excursion drivers are designed to produce a clean and highly transparent sound.
Development of the Hi-X system was a result of combining today’s state-of-the-art technologies with decades of product development experience. All Hi-X headphones feature a ring magnet system and a 44 mm driver. This design caters to improved airflow and allows for the strongest magnetic field in its class. Combined with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil, the ring magnet reduces the weight of the membrane and the coil connected to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction faster- providing a more responsive impulse reaction. This results in responsive low end imaging, superior low THD at low frequencies, a linear frequency response, and a precise ‘high-resolution’ sound that makes mixing, recording and listening a pleasure.
Designed around comfort through long-listening sessions, the Hi-X20 features a folding design, with all-metal load-bearing components for robustness and stability. A light, high-quality carry bag protects and assists with portability.
