RCF has expanded its EVOX column array range with the launch of three new EVOX J models at NAMM 2026. Building on the strong reputation of the EVOX platform for sound quality and real-world reliability, the new EVOX J systems introduce an advanced three-way electroacoustic architecture- pairing the models with higher-powered amplification aimed squarely at live music, DJ, corporate and portable applications that sit on the professional end of the scale.
At the core of the new EVOX J systems is a dedicated high-frequency section featuring a 1.75-inch neodymium compression driver with a Kapton dome, making use of RCF’s proprietary True Resistive Waveguide (TRW) technology. Designed to minimise resonance and reduce the harshness often associated with traditional horns, the TRW delivers consistent 120° x 40° coverage while maintaining a focused, point-source style acoustic image. Midrange duties are handled by an array of 3-inch neodymium cone drivers, integrated with the HF section to provide clarity, coherence and natural balance across the listening area. Low frequencies are produced by a high-power 12-inch woofer in a bass-reflex enclosure- delivering controlled, punchy performance suitable for both music and presentation content.
Powering the updated EVOX J Series is a new generation of Class-D amplification, offering a significant step forward in output and headroom. According to RCF, the new platform delivers up to 2.5 times more power than previous EVOX architectures, along with fast transient response, high SPL capabilities and reduced thermal stress.
The updated range comprises three models: EVOX J9 offers up to 130 dB SPL and features 6 x 3-inch midrange drivers, built-in DSP, and an unobtrusive compact form factor. EVOX JMIX9 builds on the same acoustic platform but adds an integrated eight-channel stereo digital mixer, transforming the system into a complete portable PA solution. The mixer features a 2.4-inch colour touch display with physical encoders, high-quality microphone preamps, Bluetooth audio and control, ‘per-channel’ processing, effects like Reverb and Audio Ducking, scene recall, and wireless control via the JMixRemote app for iOS and Android.
Sitting at the top of the range, EVOX J11 offers an increased maximum output of 132 dB SPL by doubling the midrange array to 12 x 3-inch drivers for greater projection and headroom. Intended for more demanding professional environments, EVOX J11 makes use of a PowerCON TRUE1-TOP mains connector.
All EVOX J systems are managed by RCF’s advanced onboard processing, including FiRPHASE technology- offering zero-degree linear-phase response with minimal latency- Bass Motion Control for a clean, extended low-frequency output, and comprehensive protection features. For applications requiring additional low-end impact, the new EVOX J systems can be paired with compatible RCF subwoofers using the manufacturer’s ACE integration presets, ensuring optimised time and phase alignment for maximum summation.
All three models are available in black or white, allowing the systems to blend seamlessly into a wide range of performance and architectural environments. With the manufacturer’s new additions to the EVOX J Series, RCF once again positions itself firmly within the premium portable column array market- delivering higher output, improved coverage control and expanded functionality, whilst retaining the rapid setup capabilities and discreet aesthetics that continue to define the EVOX range.
