
Fourier Audio has announced official support for Alpha Labs’ De-Feedback plugin on the transform.engine platform, expanding the range of advanced processing tools available to live sound professionals through Fourier’s dedicated plugin-hosting ecosystem.
Designed to bring studio-grade VST3 plugins into live production environments with exceptional reliability and ultra low latency, transform.engine now enables engineers to deploy De-Feedback alongside the growing portfolio of processing solutions available on the platform.

De-Feedback has rapidly gained attention across the live sound industry for its ability to increase gain before feedback, significantly reduce room reverberation and suppress background noise, all while preserving vocal clarity and operating with zero additional latency. The plugin is increasingly being adopted across a broad range of applications, including concert touring, houses of worship, theatres, corporate events, nightclubs, and broadcast productions.

Running on transform.engine, De-Feedback users can deploy up to six plugin instances with chain sandboxing enabled, while retaining capacity for additional processing depending on system configuration. The platform supports operation at buffer sizes of 64 samples at 48kHz and 128 samples at 96kHz, delivering the low-latency performance required for professional live workflows. Integration with DiGiCo Quantum consoles further streamlines deployment, providing native control and monitoring directly from the console.
For engineers, the practical benefits are immediate. Rather than dedicating extensive EQ resources to feedback suppression- often at the expense of vocal quality- De-Feedback allows engineers to focus on shaping tone and refining the overall mix, instead of problem solving.
The plugin recently proved its capabilities during the live broadcast of the Survivor 50 finale from Paramount Studios, aired on CBS. Veteran engineer Andrew “Fletch” Fletcher deployed six beta instances of De-Feedback on a transform.engine connected to a DiGiCo Quantum 338 console.
“My Fourier unit was loaded with a Beta version of De-Feedback running six instances inserted on groups on my Quantum 338, and I was using no other plugins in the chains,” explains Fletcher. “Everyone was on Lavs, with the occasional use of hand mics when the host was out in the 1,200-seat audience in front of the PA. In all, I had 24 open lavs at certain points in the show. With De-Feedback, the lavs were strong and intelligible in the PA and in the stage mix minus feeds, contestants and host could hear each other, and there was not even a hint of feedback.
“I’m always stunned by how little EQ I need when using De-Feedback. The DSP cores on the Fourier averaged a load on 33% with the six instances, so there was no stress on the system. Without this plugin, I would not have been able to achieve the SPL levels I needed and have the confidence to push mic levels when necessary. As I seem to say on every show now, De-Feedback is a game-changer.”
