DIGITAL UPGRADE – MORE POWER – NEW COSMETICS
RCF’s evergreen and best-selling ART series redefined the market for compact, portable active loudspeakers in moulded polypropylene enclosures when it was first introduced back in 1996.
Now the ART 3 Series has been completely re-engineered and repurposed for the digital era, increasing increase functionality and performance. The ART 3 series (comprised of the 310-A (10″), ART 312-A (12″) and ART 315-A (15″)), previously came with standard analogue inputs. The new MKIII release will now benefit from a digital switch mode power supply, housed in aluminium, as well as full on-board DSP processing.
Replacing the analogue power supply with a digital switch mode system has increased the power rating to a stable 400W (300W for the woofers and 100W for the bi-amped mid-high).
The aesthetics of the ART 3 MKIII have also been re-designed with the range shedding its traditional grey finish in favour of the more industrial looking black embossed with RCF’s new monochrome logo. The ART 3 MKIII retains the versatility to double as an install enclosure or a live PA box (with pole-mount adaptor) or as a dedicated stage monitor. The result is a more efficient product, offering two different EQ mode selections — one for vocal and for music.
New units will commence shipping in Australia Q3 2012.
