The Reach Foundation, originally setup in 1994 by Australian Football icon Jim Steynes has been struggling with funding since the founders passing in March 2010. The Reach Foundation’s protégé and Ambassador Jules Lund pleaded for a fundraiser to raise urgent funds to continue the charity group who run community groups that focus on the mental health of children and teens. With such an important issue on hand, a fundraiser was recently held with stars from Australia’s strain of ‘The Voice’.

“The Voice” winner Karise Eden alongside finalists Darren Percival, Sarah De Bono and Rachael Leahcar performed at The Palms Theatre at Melbourne’s Crown Casino and aired nationally on Channel 9. As far as audio was concerned, DiGiCo was certainly the star of the show with no less than 5 DiGiCo consoles handling everything from front of house, to monitors, to OB duties. The event was certainly for an excellent cause but showcased just as brilliantly, the versatility and power of DiGiCo.

For the front of house, a DiGiCo D5 was in full swing. Side of stage, an SD7 and SD8 were utilised for monitor mixes and outside, Ernie Roses OB truck was in operation loaded with a DiGiCo D5 and an SD7 as usual.

The event ran flawlessly with all hands on deck, the collective effort reinforced the power of DiGiCo across both live and broadcast platforms.
