GO AUDIO Rental GmbH, a production and touring company headquartered in Hamburg, has opted for the RCF Touring and Theatre sound system to support Toto’s European tour.
This jaunt across Europe tour marks the band’s 35th anniversary, which will be celebrated exclusively in venues befitting the occasion – in XL stadiums and arenas. Toto’s opening show will take place in Brussels, Belgium. Dates in Luxembourg, Germany, France, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway will follow before the entourage makes the last of its 29 stops in Helsinki, Finland, on July 6.
With this initial investment, GO AUDIO acquired 24 TTL55-A and 12 TTL33-A line array modules from the RCF high-definition Touring and Theatre series of speakers, as well as 24 dual-21″ TTS56-A subs of the same series. GO AUDIO’s rental pool now features even more RCF gear: A host of TT5-A active high-performance speakers are standing by and ready for action.
GO AUDIO general manager Bernd Wittenberg is clearly delighted to be out on the road with Toto. Commenting on the firm’s decision to go with the RCF TT+ system, he says, “We had been searching for an extremely powerful yet flexible system. It had to be a perfect fit for our pool of rental equipment, so we opted for the TT+ system from RCF. TT+ consists entirely of powered components, so this system offers peerless flexibility paired with excellent audio performance and stability. This was very important to us when we made our choice. With the integrated RDNet as a built-in controller, it can be adapted very quickly and easily to changing circumstances. The TT+ rig will not only see action on the Toto tour; we also aim to deploy it this summer at the festivals we support, which include Hurricane, Southside, M´era Luna and the Chiemsee Reggae Festival.”
