The RCF HDL20-A is an Active line array speaker module and DAVE’s go-to unit for flown and ground-stacked array setups. With tour-grade solid mechanics, an extended 55Hz-20kHz frequency response, and a formidable 135 dB max SPL, the HDL20-A has become a mainstay of professional event audio.
Brad Hurle, the company’s Managing Director, says that RCF’s array technology has been an integral part of Diverse AV’s complete cross-hire package.
“As our client-base increases, the demand for larger array-style setups has grown substantially. The HDL series gives us the modularity and sound quality we need in order fulfil client requirements in a changing landscape of event audio.”
One such event was the Aus-X Open, a massive dirt bike/supercross sports event sponsored by Monster Energy- a major client of Diverse AV, who take care of their AV requirements right across Australia and the Asia-Pacific, thanks to an extended crew of Audio Visual specialists.
Held at the prominent Marvel Stadium in the heart of Melbourne, the Aus-X Open featured an outdoor area set aside for Monster Energy to provide entertainment and engage in brand promotion. Diverse AV set up a stage and PA featuring 6 x HDL20-As on top of 2 x double-stacked RCF 8006-AS subwoofers- more than enough to provide a wide throw across the stadium terrace and grab the attention of punters.
