Meeting the new demands of consultants and Integrators, 4REA4 from DiGiCo brings to life a versatile, multi-format audio distribution system for the use in high performance environments. With a powerful 96k 128 channel mix engine, this backbone allows for distribution across 48 mix buses as well being able to send point to point signal of up to 512 channels; all without affecting the processing capacity. The new ASTAR / A3232 network allows its own compact 16 mic input, 8-line output stage rack or 16 mic input, 4-line output wall mountable I/O, to be connected as a single unit or daisy chained together as 2. This can be used to expand larger configurations or create redundancy when required. The 4REA4 also has three controllers: a single encoder ‘Control 1’, a multi-encoder ‘Control 6’, and the multi-fader ‘Control 8’. All three can be programmed to have custom configurations. The 4REA4 also has 4 x DMI slots making it compatible with most of the DiGiCo DMI range. Three SD card slots also available as well as 8 GPIO, and dual power supplies. Further expansion is possible with the ASTAR 3232 network hubs and GPIO interfaces. Consoles connected as part of the network with 4REA4 are able to control DiGiCo racks as well.
