RCF’s TT+ Audio dominated this year’s NAMM Show with their groundbreaking GTX Line Array. At centre stage, TT+Audio’s new GTX Line Array System addresses the full range of challenges faced by touring sound professionals and large-venue system installers while offering groundbreaking performance and sound quality.
Unlike previous TT+ Audio products, the new GTX system separates the power amplification from the loudspeaker enclosure, relocating it to newly designed touring racks. Each rack accommodates up to three RCF XPS 16K 4-channel DSP amplifiers. This new approach to hybrid power management seamlessly integrates the externally-powered GTX System with self-powered TT+ modules all managed by the RDNet software platform.
GTX models include the GTX 12 three-way line array module, GTX 10 two-way line array module, and GTS 29 high-performance double 19″ subwoofer. Rugged GTX enclosures consist of waterproof birch plywood coated with a long-lasting polyurea finish. Optimized rigging hardware offers touring and installation crews fast, efficient setup when suspended or stacked, with anti-rattle locks and a unique captive hinge bar mechanism that slips into position when set in tension or compression mode.
GTX components are the result of extensive research in material science, design topology, and power testing, to reduce distortion, enhance acceleration factor and withstand extreme driving power for extended usage while maintaining performance. Designed using advanced simulations and real-life tests, including a 200 hour continuous musical signal to stress the transducer at extreme levels, our new Precision Transducers for GTX can deliver up to 55% more acoustic energy with less distortion than previous models.
RCF Precision Transducers for GTX feature:
- Double polycotton-polyurethane spidersImproved HyperVented design
- Reduced mechanical noise – low ringing
- Ultralightweight, high-stiffness moving mass
- Special fiber cone doping and treatment
- High-energy neodymium magnet assembly
- Ultralight 4 layers in/out aluminum voice coil windings
- Low distortion compression drivers
- Designed to perform extreme excursion
- Water repellent treatment
GTX Line Array Systems feature RCF’s advanced core technologies; RDNet, FiRPHASE and BMC.
RDNet 5
RDNet is an advanced networked management, design, measurement and control platform for TT+ AUDIO systems. A network user can remotely monitor system status, measure the system frequency/phase response and control levels, delays, EQs, and many other settings of single or grouped devices, including advanced subwoofer array configurations.
FiRPHASE
TT+ AUDIO loudspeakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener. The special FiRPHASE processing distributes sound to all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system.
BMC
TT+ AUDIO loudspeakers and subwoofers equipped with Bass Motion Control (BMC) produce the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method creates a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that limits over-excursions. Traditional high-pass filters protect the woofer from over-excursion but change the phase/frequency response. In contrast, the new BMC algorithm protects the woofer allowing total freedom of signal reproduction.
