Group Technologies is pleased to announce the return of Drew Menard to the team. Having dedicated over two decades to sales, systems design, and training during GT’s formative period, Drew’s return marks a full-circle moment as he rejoins as Head of Audio.

Drew’s reputation stems from his persistent focus on innovation and his ability to leverage his wealth of expertise to deliver exceptional technical sales and brand support. Coupled with an extensive history in touring, live production, sound design, consulting, and education, Drew possesses a unique skillset- encompassing a wide range of practical experience, all of which he will bring to his role as senior lead of GT’s professional audio department.

“We are thrilled to welcome Drew back to GT. His comprehensive experience in audio, at the highest levels across Australia, will be instrumental in supporting our partners and their clients. We are eager to see the continued evolution and success of GT with Drew at the helm and look forward to seeing Drew utilise his in-depth expertise to provide exceptional outcomes for all stakeholders.”

Anthony Touma, General Manager, Group Technologies

Driven by his passion for music, Drew studied Music Composition at Western Michigan University, where he found himself immersed in studio programs and composition labs, eventually working as a technician while completing his bachelor’s degree on a scholarship.

This dedication flowed out of the classroom and into the clubs, as Drew began mixing live bands 4-5 nights a week during college. This experience propelled him into the touring industry, where he spent over a decade perfecting his production craft in collaboration with leading artists and professionals, both locally and internationally.

Drew’s technical aptitude and deep dedication to sound have empowered Drew to work in leading performance venues and stadiums, supporting globally recognised artists on stage during high-profile projects. Engaged with industry-leading companies such as Australia’s Johnston Audio Services and UK’s SSE Audio Group- and working with prominent names such as The Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, A Perfect Circle, Incubus, Oasis, David Grey, Powderfinger, Eskimo Joe, Alex Lloyd and Missy Higgins- Drew’s portfolio reflects significant expertise in managing and delivering world-class productions.

The Head of Audio role will see Drew responsible for some of GT’s top-tier professional brands, including DiGiCo, Sound Devices, RME and more.

“Consistently looking to raise the quality of production while uplifting people in our industry, is something I have always strived for. Returning to Group Technologies is an exciting prospect and I’m thrilled to once again work with the best brands and reconnect with the team; while supporting our partners throughout ANZ.”
