KLANG has released a major operating system update, delivering expanded compatibility, deeper console integration and a range of workflow enhancements designed to simplify system configuration across its immersive in-ear mixing platform.

“Our customers will find much to be excited about in KOS 6, from new SSL Live console integration and expanded third-party compatibility, to user-facing features like Action Buttons and Batch Snapshot Editing” explains Pascal Dietrich, Co-Founder of KLANG:technologies. “This major platform update includes numerous under-the-hood improvements to robustness, performance, and security, ensuring a future-ready system for our customers across all of their supported devices. The new release also notably introduces KLANG’s first improvements toward more accessible workflows- including improved support for screen readers, and making buttons and faders accessible via assistive technologies- marking an important step toward making immersive mixing more inclusive and usable for a wider range of engineers.”

The latest firmware, together with the updated KLANG software, now supports the new KLANG:1 and KLANG:1pro processors introduced at NAMM 2026. Designed for smaller-scale productions and distributed immersive monitoring applications, the compact processors extend KLANG’s immersive mixing capabilities to a wider range of deployment scenarios while maintaining full compatibility within the broader KLANG ecosystem.

For KLANG:1pro users, the update introduces native Dante patching within the KLANG:app, allowing routing to third-party Dante devices without the need for a Dante Controller.

With KOS 6, network setup has been simplified, offering an easier separation of Dante audio and control networks, in addition to improved KLANG:kontroller connectivity, which can be maintained over a dedicated IP setup without requiring VLAN configuration.

The release also adds native integration with Solid State Logic Live consoles, giving SSL Live engineers direct control of KLANG immersive processing from the console surface. The integration allows immersive IEM workflows to be incorporated seamlessly into existing console operation while enabling efficient remote management, monitoring and labelling of personal mixes.

KOS 6’s new ADM-OSC support enables seamless integration with external immersive audio systems; for example- remote control of a single KLANG mix from the master layer of a mixing console that does not offer KLANG integration, but supports ADM-OSC.

Beyond expanding compatibility and integration, KOS 6 introduces workflow enhancements that improve operational speed and efficiency. With the new ‘Action Buttons’, key functions can now be placed directly on the main menu for instant access. These include loading mixes, triggering snapshots, or preparing devices before a show. An updated Settings screen allows all device settings to be viewed in one place. Configurations can also be copied between devices for faster setup.

Batch Snapshot Editing enables quicker and more flexible show preparation by allowing multiple snapshots to be edited simultaneously. Parameters including channel and mix gains, immersive panning settings, mute and solo states, and Tone Filters can now be adjusted across several snapshots at once.

KOS 6 also introduces Bitfocus Companion compatibility, enabling KLANG immersive processors and KLANG:app to be controlled via Elgato Stream Deck or other supported Companion control surfaces.
