Announced at NAMM2020, an all new variation of Klang immersive 3D in-ear monitoring is now available in a DMI card format. Allowing up to 64 inputs across 16, 2 channel immersive mixes, the Klang DMI is truly an all new 3D in-ear mix system for engineers and artists. The DMI-KLANG connects directly to DiGiCo consoles’ internal audio stream without any additional hardware I/O or overhead, and returned via the Aux merge input. This is all done at a super low latency of a quarter of a millisecond. A breakthrough in personal monitoring, enabling separate instruments or feeds to be placed in a 360 degree field, horizontally and vertically. No longer will ears be fatigued due to limited options with stereo positioning. KLANG has been designed not only for the most demanding of touring artists, but also for use as personal monitoring solution where the musical director or musician needs the ability to control their own mix or that of others. The simple graphic user interface allows multiple mixes to be controlled over Ethernet or WiFi using a remote PC or tablet. DiGiCo’s console range also has the ability to control KLANG directly from the input channel on the surface, with an intuitive graphic user interface.
