One of Mexico City’s most successful artists, the ballad singer Emmanuel, has entertained 35,000 fans at the Foro Sol stadium venue, with two PA companies collaborating on the supply of a huge NEXO line array system.
Musica Moderna, one of Mexico’s most prominent rental companies, provided GEO T for the main PA hangs, 24 modules on each side, with 20x CD18 subs beneath. Tecnoson Espectaculos supplied GEO D modules for the side hangs, each using 16x D10’s per side.
On stage, 12x GEO S8 compact line array modules provided sidefill, with 4x CD12 subs flown from the back of the S8 arrays. The stage monitor system made use of 12x NEXO PS15 cabinets, with additional PS15+LS1200 for drumfill. All amplification was CAMCO Vortex units, and NX242 TDControllers provided system management.
Estuardo Zarate, from NEXO’s Mexican distribution partner Representaciones de Audio, reports that system engineers Sergio Zenteno and Ignacio Sanchez achieved excellent coverage across all areas of this very large venue. “Everybody was surprised at how easy it was to set the system up. For the show, which is part of Emmanuel’s RETRO tour, the sound was really nice and consistent throughout, with amazing bass.”
