The OD303 is a dynamic vocal microphone which shares many of the same advantages as the OD505, sans the Active Dynamic architecture.
Concentrating on the absolute essentials, the OD303 offers a maximized performance-to-cost ratio, focusing purely on the best live vocal sound possible. Designed around Austrian Audio’s ‘Open Acoustic Technology’, the OD303 provides a supercardioid polar pattern across a wide frequency band, optimized for excellent feedback suppression. Unlike other live vocal microphones, the sound of the OD303 will not be severely affected should a performer grip the microphone close to the head grille- a feature FOH engineers will surely appreciate!
Equipped with the Austrian Audio ODC50 dual capsule, the OD303 offers significantly reduced handling noise and reduced low frequency stage vibrations. The microphone also includes a specialised proprietary 3D Pop noise diffuser, designed to reduce unwanted noise in plosive sounds such as “P” and “T”.
With a highly robust construction and almost indestructible die-cast housing, the OD303 is designed to withstand heavy handling, be it the rigors of touring life or daily use at the rehearsal studio.
